NCCAA

Maintain Certification.

For Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants: the CDQ Exam, continuing medical education, re-entry after a lapse, and keeping your profile current.

Staying current

A ten-year cycle of CME and re-examination.

Certification is maintained, not just earned. Every two years a CAA logs 50 hours of continuing medical education, and in year 4, year 10 and then every ten years, the CDQ Exam confirms that knowledge has kept pace with practice.

  • 50 CME hours every two years, 40 anesthesia-specific
  • CDQ Exam in Year 4, Year 10 and then every 10 years
  • Everything submitted through the NCCAA App
  • Re-entry path if certification lapses
